Dinner Church is designed for all ages to connect together and build relationships. Dinner will be served family style at the table at 6pm, so we can all help set up and also fully participate too. • Herbed Chicken

• Roasted summer squash and eggplant

• Lemon Orzo (or rice as a gluten free option)

The winter storm warning has recently been upgraded to a blizzard. The safety and well-being of our members, friends, guests, and staff is very important to us, and we have made the decision to cancel in person worship tomorrow, March 15, along with any other church activities on the calendar.

 Our pastors and music director will lead us in a Zoom worship service at 10AM (from each of their homes), so we can still come together in community. A link for that service will be sent to members via email and text. Stay safe and warm!

Following Youth Led Worship on Sunday, March 8, come for a tasty pancake brunch and intergenerational community! Proceeds from the event will support students attending the Denver Service & Learn trip this summer. To help us plan for food, please RSVP here by March 5.

Worship with Mount Olivet this Ash Wednesday, February 18 at 7pm as the season of Lent begins. Ash Wednesday worship will include communion and the imposition of ashes.

The menu is vegetarian chili, salad and bread. Dinner will be served in the Community Room from 5:45-6:45pm. There’s a suggested donation of $5 per person (max $20 per family).

 We’re still looking for a few volunteers to help with greeting, serving and dishes. If you’re able to help, sign up below.

On Wednesday, December 17 come join in a no fuss nativity for all ages along with carols, cocoa, and making art together. No rehearsal, just pick up a costume as you arrive around 6pm (or participate in the crowd) and journey through the story of Jesus’ birth together with words and song. Worship starts at 6:15pm with the installation of Pastor Desirée Uhrich. Carols and cocoa (and other treats) in the Community Room will follow at 7pm. There will also be space in the Conference Room for conversation and making a little Advent art together. It’ll be a fun night to connect across generations!

Come celebrate high students in our community who graduated this year during 10:45am worship!

What is Maundy Thursday?

The word “Maundy” came from the Latin “mandatum” which means “to order” — or command. On Maundy Thursday, we remember Jesus’ command to love one another as Jesus has loved us (John 13:34). We also remember the Last Supper where Jesus instituted the sacrament of communion when he gave the disciples bread and wine as his body and blood. During Maundy Thursday worship, communion is celebrated, and then all the things on the altar are removed — symbolizing how Jesus was abandoned by his disciples and his clothes were stripped by soldiers before his crucifixion.

Worship with Mount Olivet on Palm Sunday! One service at 10am followed by continental breakfast in the Fireside Room.

Join our Mount Olivet Musicians in a worship service full of music of the Advent season. We celebrate with voices and band, bells and spoken word.

The Advent Concert takes place during 9am and 10:45am worship services on Sunday, December 8.

For three weeks (11/13, 11/20, 12/4), 5th-8th students choose an elective learning track. Students who love singing are invited to join Angela Gritton for youth choir rehearsals and to sing in the Advent Concert on Sunday, December 8 at both services.

5th-6th students who don’t enjoy singing are invited to explore curious Old Testament Bible stories, and 7th-8th students will continue with their learning about the 10 Commandments. Whichever track students choose, they must stick with it for the three weeks.

Each year we remember loved ones who have passed away in the last 12 months. To commemorate them, a special worship service will be held at our Historic Chapel at 7pm on Sunday, November 5.

To include your loved one's name in the list to be read aloud during the service, please fill out the form HERE, or add their name to the list on the Welcome Counter.

Bring your camp chairs or blankets and join Mount Olivet in the Grove at 10:45am on Sunday for outdoor worship. If you forget your chairs or blankets, don’t worry — we’ll have chairs available too!

From May 26 through September 1, the 10:45am service will be outside in the Grove, weather permitting. When worship is outside, the 10:45am service will NOT be livestreamed. 9am worship will continue to be livestreamed throughout the summer.

The Handbell choir gathers for our spring season beginning Sunday, March 3 at 12pm in the Fireside Room.

Handbells are unique instruments that embody community: we truly need one another to make beautiful music! If you're interested in participating in a music ensemble and want a short-term commitment -- bells are for YOU!

Rehearsals are Sundays from 12-1:30pm on March 3, 10, 17 and 24.
