The menu is vegetarian chili, salad and bread. Dinner will be served in the Community Room from 5:45-6:45pm. There’s a suggested donation of $5 per person (max $20 per family).

Brews, Eats & Beats is ready to rock and roll for another year! One of the metro's most popular cover bands, THE FABULOUS ARMADILLOS, are back on stage to help us fight hunger in our community. If you haven't heard about them yet, you'll want to come out of your shell to dance, sing, or toe-tap along to the hits! Warming up the stage at 4:30 will be THE STUNT. Gates open at 4:oo.

We'll be offering fabulous food from local food trucks, fabulous craft beers from local breweries, a silent auction of fabulous items to bid on, and of course, fabulous music. It's all about bringing community together for a fabulous cause: raising money to fight hunger right here in Plymouth through our Loaves & Fishes Community Meal. Join us — rain or shine — for one of summer's best events in the west metro!

Through out the listening we've done as a congregation this year, a major theme has been a hunger for cross-generational connection at Mount Olivet. On Wednesday, April 30 from 6-8pm come and connect across generations as we take a Generational Tour with guest speaker, Dawn Rundman, Ph.D. Silent Generation, Boomers, Gen Xers, Millennials, Zoomers, Gen Alpha. You’ve likely heard these names for generations. Let’s dive into how understanding the experiences, values, and needs of each generation can help you develop intergenerational ministry that matters.

Dawn Rundman is a nationally-recognized presenter, author, and resource provider specializing in children's faith development. She holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology and is currently the Director of Congregational Development and Marketing at Augsburg Fortress Publishers.

Have you ever wondered how best to talk to the kids in your life about race and racism?

Join us for a special evening on Wednesday, November 1, as Dianne Haulcy helps us explore how racial bias begins to form in children and offers adults tools for talking to children about race. The same tools will support better conversations with the adults in your life, too! Dianne will preach at 6:30pm worship, and then start her talk at 7:15pm in the Worship Center.

Dianne Haulcy is creator and host of Early Risers, a podcast from Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) and Little Moments Count, with frank facts, engaging stories, and real how-tos for anyone who cares about raising children with a clear-eyed understanding of cultural differences, race, and implicit bias. Known for her leadership and vast experience in the field of early childhood development and education, Dianne Haulcy serves as President and CEO of The Family Partnership, a Minneapolis-based non-profit responding to the needs of families by providing mental health therapy, early childhood education and care, and family home visiting. Haulcy is an active member of Liberty Community Church where she serves as a Ruling Elder. She earned a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary in Saint Paul, a Master of Public Administration from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.

And it is all about bringing community together for a great cause; raising money for our partners that are fighting hunger - PRISM, Loaves & Fishes and Every Meal.

Join Mount Olivet families and Plymouth neighbors from the Plymouth DEI for an Anti-Racism Rally on Sunday, May 28 from 12:30-1:30pm.

Want to explore vegetarian or vegan cooking? It’s good for the environment, good for you and will save you money. Join Ron Frehner in the Fireside Room on Sunday, April 16 from 10-10:40am.

We will explore interest in starting a vegetarian/vegan cooking group where we can all learn from each other and try our new recipes. A vegetarian brunch will be available, courtesy of Ron Frehner.

Mount Olivet will host a screening of the Hollywood movie, “Till,” on Saturday, April 15, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  The screening is free and open to the public.  Special Guest Deborah Watts, of Plymouth, will join us to introduce the film and host a Q & A session immediately following.  Ms. Watts is Emmett Till’s cousin and the co-founder and executive director of the Emmett Till Legacy Foundation (ETLF) and the Emmett Till Institute for Learning and Leadership (E-TILL).  

Till  is a 2022 biographical drama film based on the true story of Mamie Till-Bradley, an educator and activist who pursued justice after the murder of her 14-year-old son Emmett in August 1955. The film is dedicated in memory of Mamie Till's life and legacy and was named one of the best films of 2022 by the National Board of Review.
