Directions and accessibility

Mount Olivet is located at 12235 Old Rockford Road in Plymouth, Minnesota.

For worship, enter through Door 1. There are visitor and handicapped parking spaces reserved near the entrance. If you choose to bike to worship, there is a bike rack at Door 1 as well.

Doors and restrooms are accessible for those using wheelchairs and walkers, and the building has two gender-inclusive restrooms immediately on the right as you enter Door 1.

children

Children are full participants in life, faith, and worship at Mount Olivet. They are welcome to do everything that adults do in worship, including offering a prayer, taking communion, and volunteering.

A children’s offering for world hunger is taken midway through each service, so it might be helpful to bring a handful of coins or a dollar bill so your child can participate.

Worship bags and books are available for children who may appreciate an additional activity to do during worship.

A Typical Service

Each Sunday service starts with song and prayer. Scripture is read, and a pastor gives a sermon. After greeting one another with a sign of peace and a time of prayer, when people are invited to share prayer concerns they have for themselves, our community, and our world, we invite people to give an offering to support the work we do at Mount Olivet. Then we celebrate God’s love for us in the communion meal; everyone is welcome to join us at the table. Finally, we share some community announcements and close in song and a blessing as we are sent back into the world. Sunday services last about an hour.

Wednesday worship services are about 30 minutes and include singing together, reflecting on and learning from the Bible, and sharing the communion meal, where all all invited to receive God’s love in this meal. You are warmly invited to join in community together on Wednesday evenings. You are welcome here.

We believe that all people have a place in God’s story, and welcome any who enter our building! Hope to see you in worship soon.
