A Place Called Home Book Study

  • Mount Olivet Lutheran Church of Plymouth 12235 Old Rockford Road Plymouth, MN, 55441 (map)

Join Mount Olivet's Housing Team for this fall book read exploring housing, the multi-dimensional characteristics of poverty, and what the Team has been learning about needs in our community over the last 18 months.

There are millions of homeless children in America today. In his memoir A Place Called Home, award-winning child welfare advocate David Ambroz writes about his own homelessness as a young child and his subsequent years in foster care, offering a window into what so many kids living in poverty experience every day.

Participants are asked to purchase their own copy of the book before the first gathering on Sunday, October 1st, at 10am in the Conference Room.

*Please do note that Ambroz’ book contains potentially sensitive content, including: strong language, physical and emotional abuse, and sexual violence.
