Staff from Northport Elementary School in Brooklyn Center join us for worship on Sunday and Wednesday - and MoTalk on Sunday.
Principal Frederico Rowe and Pam Hancy, Community Engagement and Academic Volunteer Coordinator will be talking about our partnership, hunger in the suburbs, especially as it impacts students and families at their school. Mount Olivet partners with Northport through our KidPack program which provides take-home meals for students from low-income families every Friday.
Other ways Mount Olivet members have lived into our partnership have been by volunteering as reading and math tutors, and making costumes for their annual Spring musical.
