DENVER
July 21 - 28 // Grades 9-12th // Center for Student Ministries (CSM)

CSM Denver is proud to partner with many agencies and ministries around the city that are willing to use their voice on behalf of those who are ignored or cannot speak for themselves. Everyone has a story and deserves a chance to share. When CSM participants visit Denver they have the opportunity to partner with several of these ministries. They will serve at places like the Denver Rescue Mission and be able to put a name to homelessness by serving and eating alongside the patrons.

Our desire for groups that come through Denver would be that they would be more than tourists for a week. We want them to reach out, touch and experience the city in unique ways. They may find themselves in touristy places like down along the 16th street pedestrian mall, but instead of shopping they will be looking for ways that they could meet a need for someone they might normally pass by.

MILWAUKEE
June 24 - 29 // 7-8th Grade // Youthworks

You’ll have the opportunity to serve alongside some great organizations that are working to support the Milwaukee community.

One of these is Scott Christian Community Center, which houses a food pantry and clothing giveaway service. Another organization you’ll serve alongside is Gingerbread Land, a neighborhood beautification organization. You may also serve at elder care centers or a soup kitchen.

In the evenings, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a church service, go to the beach of Lake Michigan and hear from a community friend who works with teenagers and adults growing up in the inner city.

SUMMER SERVICE SPREE

Completed Grades 4-6 // June 11-14 // 12:30-4:30pm

Spend four afternoons having fun and serving our neighbors - we'll participate in service activities in- and outside of Mount Olivet, bravely take on challenge and leadership games, and spend some time having good ol' fun.

4th graders may spend each morning participating in VBS while 5th and 6th graders are encouraged to volunteer for VBS. If you are a part of VBS, pack a lunch and we'll eat together before we begin our afternoon (12-12:30pm).

*Parents & BE/CASY leaders: we are looking for adults to help us keep our energy in check and chauffeur us on a few field trips. If you are interested, contact Beth McGrew-King or Pete Erickson.
