Sundays, March 12 - April 9 // 10-10:40am

Sundays mornings during Lent will stay in the book of Luke - MOtalks will be text studies

Speakers will lead discussion and go deeper into the Luke readings. Come for context, history, and interpretations of Sunday's scripture readings.

Led by Holly Carlson

Sundays, March 12-April 9 // 6:30—8pm // $15 covers book

Holly Carlson will be leading a five week book study and video series that will help you move way from the constant pressure to perform faster, push harder, produce more, and the exhausting pursuit of perfection. See a compelling vision to live in the present, and learn to live soaked in grace, rest, silence, simplicity, prayer, and connection with the people that matter most to us.

Mount Olivet is offering four learning tracks on Wednesdays during Lent: Mentoring, Meditation, Mission, and Many Faiths.

These five week courses are open to the entire community as an opportunity to be present and learn together. Our 5th-9th Grade youth will also take part in these courses - allowing them a chance to learn alongside the larger community.

Led by Pastor Joel

Wednesdays, March 8 - April 5 // 7-8pm

We live in a world in which we are becoming more aware of the diversity of religions and beliefs in our communities. This 5 part series helps people to understand how Lutherans approach religious pluralism within Christianity and beyond, as well as hear from voices from Islam and Judaism.

Guest speakers include a Jewish speaker whose parents were Holocaust survivors, and the youth group from a local Mosque.

This course is open to all and is required for ninth grade Confirmands

Led by Selena Freimark

Wednesdays, March 8 - April 5 // 7-8pm

Meditation is about the here and now; it creates a relaxed state of moment to moment awareness, critical for reducing stress and increasing self-awareness. Learn several meditative techniques and process the experience together. No experience is necessary.  Led by licensed Mind-Body Medicine Practictioner, Selena Freimark.

Wednesdays, March 8 - April 5 // 7-8pm

Meal packing, experiencing homelessness, small kindness projects with big impact, using your voice to be light and love in this world. Spend Lent keeping hands and hearts busy with service projects, discussions, and activities - let's learn from one another's questions and experiences!

Wednesdays, March 8 - April 5 // 7-8pm

Adults: Sign up to mentor youth on Wednesday evenings. Pete Erickson will guide you through a series that explores personal faith. Offer your wisdom, faith story, and presence in this rewarding opportunity.

Youth: Meet weekly with a Mount Olivet member on Wednesday evenings for a chance to explore your faith outside your normal routine, and away from a group setting. Get a chance to ask questions that you might not with your parents, CASY, or friends. Download and fill out the youth inventory sheet so we can pair you with an adult!
